How it all started!

This week we let our close friends, family and a few other contacts know that with Aunt Ruby you will Never Run Out, Period!!(TM) So far it has been a fantastic soft launch! It’s been just great answering all your emails about the service. We never expected this kind of response in the first week! We truly appreciate all your feedback; it’s been really encouraging. Thank you all, we promise to get back to all of you. We plan some press releases and keep a look out for our commercial coming soon!

   
This week, I wanted to share the most common question that we have been receiving. "How on earth did you ever come up with this concept?' Well let me tell you, ‘cause it’s an interesting story.  About a year and half ago I had a conversation with Jennifer (these days I like to call her my ‘Top Niece’). She was at her wits end, having run out of feminine protection again! She said she was soooooo tired of searching purses, jackets, under the sink, the closet, and even the car for a tampon just so she could get to the store ‘safely’! Even though she was tracking her cycle the best she could, it still seemed to catch her off guard quite often, and it usually arrived at the most inconvenient time possible. UGH!! I thought “there must be a way to fix this!” & I set to the task of finding an online service to help her. I thought surely this much needed service must already exist. I couldn’t believe I couldn’t find anyone to help. So, I thought “I’ll just be her ‘Never Run Out’ service”. I thought about all the different products I use throughout my cycle. On the first day I only need a light tampon. Days 2 & 3 are a different story, usually requiring all of the feminine ‘artillery’ that can be employed- Super tampons & a heavy pad. The next couple of days I only need regular tampons, then only liners. How would I know what she needs? I checked with her and she uses 6 different kinds of protection throughout her cycle. “No wonder she’s running out all the time...how can anyone keep track of that, month after month?!” I thought. This was going to be a tough task for Aunt Ruby, but I had an epiphany!

  I soon realized that I needed a system, no, a website (www.auntruby.net) that would give her the ability to tell me what she uses. This way, I could make sure she has it & never runs out. After all, I have the time to do it & I LOVE taking care of my Nieces! After 15 months of working to get things just right, I showed her what I had done for her. Well, she told her friends & the next thing I knew, everyone wanted an AuntRuby.net account! So, we opened it up to the public. Now, AuntRuby.net gives women the option to manage their period with only the products they need. A place to pick all your favorite brands and put them into one box! A website that lets you choose the amount you need of each brand so that you always have exactly what YOU need!  Women were saying "I can get all my brands in one box!!?? “You mean I can get 6 maxi-pads, 12 tampons from any manufacturer and liners as well?" “I will never have to find something (or do something makeshift) to ‘safely’ get me to the store again??!” “I’m going to get my products delivered in time for every cycle?!?!” OH MY GOSH!! I knew there was a need, but I wasn’t prepared for the excitement. The feedback has been incredible & I’m so proud & happy to have more Nieces to take care of. I just love it!
